the Sea Monster Report of Samsø
Brackish Times is a collage of blue humanities, situated knowledges, speculative stories, and ethnographic research around the island of Samsø and its (imaginative) fauna, presented in a classical newspaper format, screenprinted and illustrated with woodcuts.
Kirstine wrote (most of the) articles, interviewed locals, sent emails, and proofread everything & I made (most of the) woodcuts and illustrations, juggled with the layout, and mixed colors.
Johann screenprinted hundreds of sheets, answered twice as many questions, and showed us his best records. Bo made sure we took football breaks, taught us serpent language, and showed us where to find frogs in the garden. Hannah made us feel at home at Agerupgård, and the people of Samsø welcomed us with so much openness and input!
